Questions & experiences
Questions brought by viewers. Space to explore what they mean.
01Are we supposed to have a guru before attempting the mantras?
Not necessarily. A guru can offer guidance and support, but many mantra practices can be approached without one. Some mantras belong to traditions that require initiation or specific instruction. Start gently, stay grounded, and listen to your own body and experience.
02Is the opening shown in Source Contact temporary?
Not necessarily. An intense experience may pass, while the change in awareness it brings can endure. Within a Kundalini framework, an ‘open crown’ can describe an ongoing spiritual connection, rather than remaining continuously in the same heightened state.
03Why do I feel hot and cold moving through my body?
Some people describe waves of warmth, intense heat or coolness during meditation and experiences they associate with Kundalini. These sensations can feel flowing or localised, and may be difficult to put into words. The artist describes the colder sensation as “bone-cold, mercury-like”—a description of how it feels.
Within a spiritual interpretation, warmth and coolness may be understood through masculine and feminine qualities.
If the sensations become uncomfortable, ease off the practice and allow your breathing to settle naturally. Persistent, painful or unexplained temperature sensations deserve medical attention rather than being assumed to be spiritual.
